Most large deserts are found away from the coasts around the world. Hot deserts are made from sand and dust. Camels are like a bus in the deserts but can only live for 1 month without food or water Because they store fat and water in their humps, also Camels are specially adapted to the life in the desert. The largest deserts in North America are the Chihuahua, in Mexico and southern USA, and the Great Basin, in western USA. The deserts of the southern hemisphere, which is the bottom of half of Earth, including the Atacama and Patagonia, in South America, the Namib and Kalahari, in Africa, and the Great Sandy and in Australia. Deserts are extremely hot Because of a lack of water, When the sun shines on the sand, all of the absorbed sunlight makes the  raising the ground's temperature even higher. Deserts are cold at night because of the lack of water in the ground, and very little water vapor in the air that's why most deserts are quite cool at night.
